The American Nurses Association is seeking a Web Communications Editor--this is
a new position.

We are located in the exciting Silver Spring (MD) downtown, near to Metro.

We are looking for an experienced individual who will utilize a combination of
Web writing and technical skills to plan and write Web content to communicate
ANA's programmatic and campaign work. Devises and implements Website features
and applications that enhance the site. Creates pages incorporating graphics,
multimedia, and Web 2.0 features (podcasts, videos, blogs, etc.) maintaining ANA
brand standards.

Bottom-line: the emphasis is on Web writing/editing. ..

You will have a Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education,
training and experience would be considered in lieu of a degree. You will also
have at least 5 years experience developing and writing Web-based content, with
a public relations/communica tions purpose and orientation, preferably with
knowledge of best practices for usability and search engine optimization.

You will be experienced with Web application design and development experience,
and have some with audio/video file formatting and delivery mechanisms as
podcasting, streaming and RSS. We use a CMS for publishing.

Of course the position requires discretion, tact and ability to exercise good
judgment/decision- making! You will work in a team environment.
