Software Engineer

Looking to hire a software engineer with a good background in Linux/Unix and familiarity with software development administration. This position will be a member of the Kernel/Tools team and will provide Linux kernel support for our high-end Utility Storage Server products. This includes support for new platform configurations and future Linux version/update migration. In addition, you will provide support for the software development organization including things such as: support for the internal software development tools and future enhancements, provide support for the software development test infrastructure, software build infrastructure, promote and release management, software release packaging, patch release management and version control, and overall assist the software development community in day to day activities.

Experience and Skills:

* A BS/MS in Computer Science and 4-8 years related experience. * Experience administrating UNIX/LINUX. * Looking for engineers with good system understanding of platform/kernel interaction. * Proficient in "C" programming in Linux or other Unix environments. * Familiarity with scripting languages such as bash, Perl and Tcl. * Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. * Good familiarity with various software development tools. * Self-starter and good work ethics.
