FIN-108 Accountant / Property Manager - Staff -Santa Barbara, CA

Salary: BOE (excellent compensation package)

The CEO of a privately held investment firm seeks a experienced professional to help manage the financial, property and other personal matters for him and his family, and to support the operating company.

They are looking for someone with degree in accounting, preferably a CPA.

The operating company is in Carpinteria, CA and the home estate is in the Santa Barbara area. The family has multiple residences in multiple countries, so you must be adept as managing remote staff.

This is a full time on-site position in their Carpinteria office.

The successful candidate will have acute attention to detail, and extremely flexible in managing workloads. You must thrive on juggling multiple projects and changing priorities.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.

Job Responsibilities:

Accounting – bookkeeping, bill paying, cash flow analysis, budgeting, fund transfers, employee payroll management, net worth statement preparation, financial statement preparation, records maintenance and administration

Property management – including remote management of staff at each property location

Insurance services – consulting and administration for all types of medical, homeowner, property and liability insurance

Tax
services – assist professional team with coordination of income tax planning, preparation and compliance

Estate planning – assist professional team with coordination of estate plan review, wealth transfer arrangements, estate tax compliance, long-term healthcare analysis

Document management and retention – wills, trusts, estate plans, advisor agreements, deeds, contracts, tax returns, passports, birth certificates, marriage certificates, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and other paperwork

Luxury items assistance – purchases and sales, insurance appraisals and management, storage arrangements, maintenance, inventory updates and record keeping

Philanthropic planning and administration – gift administration, charitable trust advice, family foundation administration, development and management of charitable giving program

Requirements:

o. 5+ years experience in Accounting, Property Management, Staff Management, etc. (Required)

o. Degree in Accounting, Finance or applicable field (CPA a plus) (Required)

Notes:

o. Excellent compensation package available.

o. No relocation is budgeted for this position, so the client is hoping to find a local (Southern California) candidate.

o. The location is amazing: the office is less than a block from the beach in Carpinteria, an easy commute from Santa Barbara to the north or Ventura from the south.
