Sr.Message Broker Developer Portland , OR 6-9 Month Contract

West coast consultants only (WA, OR, CA) The client is launching several projects that will use a message based architecture. Our messaging tool is IBM Message Broker. We will also be using Data Power for services with external systems. RESPONSIBILITIES/ DELIVERABLES: Define services based on requirements and data models Define data mapping between systems for a given service Write high level and detail design for services Implement and Deliver Message Flows Unit testing and integration testing of message Bug fixes and QA support Analyze business requirements and help translate to system requirements Mentor and coach team members as needed REQUIRED: Proficient in IBM Message Broker development Proficient in MQ Ability to work in the integration space where communication between many disparate teams may be necessary Ability to review, analyze and refine use cases and other requirements artifacts provided by the business Strong oral and written communication Proven experience in taking initiative and planning and organizing own work Ability to Work in a fast-paced team environment Partners with business users, developers and vendors to acquire the necessary understanding of business objectives and processes Experience with Rational Application Developer Tools (esp. ClearCase) PREFERRED: Proficient in Data Power
