EN-750 Energy Management System (EMS) Technician - Staff - Pasadena, CA (Local Candidates Only)

The company responsible for maintaining the facilities for NASA/JPL in Pasadena needs an EMS Technician. (JPL is an absolutely great place to work -- a beautiful campus, and you’re supporting the leading-edge of unmanned space exploration! )
The EMS Technician must be a journeyman level HVAC Technician. Technician should be certified through the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and shall have at least five (5) years experience. Other duties include the operation and data collection necessary to operate and maintain physical plant and equipment systems. Skillful knowledge of hand tools required. EMS Operator performs HVAC, mechanical equipment, and controls/instrument ation maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate and/or repair HVAC components, pumps, valves, compressors and associated equipment
- Operate facilities electrical/mechanic al equipment and building automation systems
- Respond to facility and equipment alarms, and electrical/mechanic al systems failures
- Read and comprehend mechanical blueprints and control drawings
- Complete work orders as directed
- Interact with contractors, as required
- Become familiar with, and apply building safety and industry codes and regulations
- Participate in company sponsored training programs
- Execute assigned duties in a safe and professional manner
- Deliver outstanding customer service
Requirements:
o. 5+ years experience as a Journeyman-level HVAC/EMS Technician (Required)
o. Experience with Niagara AX Workbench, Siemens Staefa/TALON or other building automation control systems (Required)
o. Ability to pass Drug and Background security checks (Absolutely Required)
o. High school graduate or GED (Required)
