| 5+ years of production Oracle DBA experience in Unix (Sun Solaris) environments
Experience in Veritas Cluster , NetBackup and SAN
Experience with backup and recovery scenarios including the use of DataGuard
Shell scripting knowledge and experience
Experience providing 24x7 support of large high availability production data bases
Provide 24/7 support and on call
Ability to analyze and resolve Oracle systems software, cluster and data base issues from an Oracle systems DBA perspective
Demonstrated proficiency of troubleshooting techniques and detail-oriented problem diagnosis
Experienced in the installation, configuration, patching, upgrading, tuning ongoing support of Oracle data base systems
Experienced in setting realistic thresholds and alerts that interface with enterprise monitoring, alerting and paging systems
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Experience with Oracle 10GR3 and RAC a plus including the migration from Oracle 8 and 9 environments
Experience in disaster recovery planning and design
Oracle certification (OCP)
