Responsible for managing a group of 20+ engineers performing
integration testing of Ethernet and routing platforms, protocols, and
network management applications. Act as a primary contact to US
branch of the company as the lead of the offshore SQA organization.
Work with cross-functional managers and resources to deliver embedded
software releases. Responsible for successful implementation and
release of new features, new hardware support, as well as defect fixes
and continuous software quality improvements. Work with software
development on design & implementation of specific features and
solutions. Develop focused and detailed test strategies, test plans,
and documents to verify standards compatibility, functionality,
interoperability, and systems-level readiness for customer delivery.
Evaluate/develop new test tools and automated test cases for
regression testing and software verification.

Candidates profile

REQUIRED• MS EE/CE or CS •
10+ years of experience in networking.•
7+ years experience in testing/developing new products•
4+ years in managing a development or verification test group•
Detailed understanding of bridging, Ethernet, Spanning Tree, VLANs, QoS.•
Detailed understanding of RIP, OSPF, BGP, VRRP •
Detailed understanding of SNMP, RMON, MIB compliance•
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP•
Strong knowledge of Windows required. ( Linux and Unix experience a
plus•)
Excellent project management, organizational, analytical, and
interpersonal skills DESIRED•
Experience with Multicast protocols and applications – IGMP, DVMRP, PIM•
Tools development and automation experience: Tcl/Tk, scripting•
Experience with 3rd party traffic generation tools for simulation of
L3 test environments•
Experience in similar role managing a group of 20 or more engineers
across multiple projects
