| Domino Developer
• Design & Develop critical parts of the application to be built using Domino. The application is a content management application built on Notes/Domino with a web front-end to access content management services for a global audience.
• Implement scalable solutions to meet the service levels associated with large volumes of users or records to be processed.
• Understand and implement interoperability approaches between Domino & WebSphere Portal to provide business users with the best functionality.
• Unit test modules, integration testing with other modules to deliver quality code.
• Determine technical feasibility of approaches with Proof of Concepts to mitigate project risks.
• Perform peer code reviews.
• Analyze existing code and remediate performance issues within existing applications.
• Analysis of existing business functions and new client requirements.
• Provide high level estimates to assist project managers in building Work Packages and Work Breakdown Structures
C. General Requirements:
• Minimum 6 years of software development experience.
Minimum 5 years of development experience with Domino building Domino based web applications.
• Minimum 6 years experience in the analysis, design, and development of business applications.
Minimum 5 years coding experience with
• Domino & Notes, Java, J2EE, Windows/IIS, XML and Web Services, Javascript, CSS 2
• Strong experience with AJAX , DHTML and Web 2.0 technolgies.
D. Required Technical Skills:
• Strong Web application development with Domino/Notes is essential.
• Development experience with WebSphere Portal and tools such as WebSphere Portlet Factory and/or Lotus Component Designer highly preferred.
• Development experience with C programming language is a plus.
• Experience with SQL Server including knowledge of Stored Procedures, Database design, normalization, and optimization is a big plus.
• Knowledge of networking technologies (Firewall, Proxies, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, Cisco devices) are a plus
• Knowledge of single sign-on solutions such as Netegrity SiteMinder is a plus
• BS in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent work experience.
• IBM WebSphere or SUN Java certifications are a definite plus.
E. Required Soft Skills:
• Analysis of new and existing business processes and requirements
• Provide high level estimates to assist project managers in building Work Packages and Work Breakdown Structures
• Time and effort estimation
• Design and document solutions
• Ensure knowledge sharing among team members.
• Ensure QA processes, procedures and documentation are completed on time.
• Experience working directly with business partners to gather requirements, solve problems, or design solutions.
• Ability to translate complex technical designs into language that will be understood by the client.
• Ability to identify project risks and mitigation strategies.
• Be able to balance multiple priorities and alert clients & team to project scope changes.
