Skills:
This new role the BI Architect provides technical leadership as well as oversight for the design and development of Data Warehouse Extract Transform, Load (ETL) systems, Database and Analytic Processing Systems, as well as Enterprise Reporting and Information Delivery Systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
** Collaborate in the development and maintenance of the CIDC Enterprise Business Intelligence Roadmap.
** Develop the Data Warehouse ETL Architecture and assist and oversee its implementation.
** Assist in the development of the corporate BI architecture( s) defined in the BI Roadmap.
** Plan the eventual transition of the data warehouse from a daily batch processing environment to a real-time straight-through processing environment.
** Design, develop, and document the processes and audit/balancing controls necessary to ensure Sarbanes Oxley compliance for all information delivered from the Data Warehouse.
** Design and develop a comprehensive unified BI security and authentication architecture that will permit single sign-on of users.
** Design, Integrate, and customize a user-friendly, web based reporting solution into the BI architecture.
Experience:
** 3 + years of Data Warehouse and Database experience with Oracle 9i or 10g including experience configuring Real Application Clusters.
** 5 years experience as an architect of web based applications that included hands-on development with web servers, Java, Java Script, and Java Applet development.
** 2 years experience designing and developing web-services.
** Exposure with Oracle 12i is plus
** Experinece with Oracle BI Enterprise Edition
